Kullgren also stated that along with the part-time position, on Saturdays Jim Plourde & Clark Craig would be working at the center.  Chip has his level III certification.
It was discussed that the rate of pay for this position will be consistent to the other part-time positions in town.

Mr. Wakeman will begin working with Frank today; he will also be at the center of Saturday for more training.
8:15 – Recycle Update –
·       Illegal trash disposal - Selectmen discussed with Frank of a resident who over the weekend, their trash had been tossed over the gate.  Frank recommended a letter & a meeting with the board to this family.  By town ordinance, Selectmen have the authority to fine residents for such behaviors.
·       Box Trailers – Frank asked the Board for permission to retain the box trailers that Monadnock Disposal dropped of; they are willing to give them to the town at no cost.
Deb asked why would they give us something that they wanted $1500.00 for two weeks ago?
Frank replied it is more expensive for them to come back to pick them up.
Selectmen agreed if they are free, we can keep them for storage but they do want a letter from Mondanock stating they are giving the trailers to the Town.

8:30 – Old Lyndeborough Mtn. Road – Duffy reported that he and Deb went to Mr. Nadeau’s on Tuesday morning.  Mr. Nadeau again explained his concerns to both Deb & Duffy.  Since the meeting, the highway crew went and looked at the culverts, 4 of the 5 were completely clean and one had a small amount of sediment, which was cleaned out.  They have installed trap rock, filled the two pot holes in the road and will have loam delivered in two weeks.  With regards to dredging the brook, the DES stated they are shorthanded and would not send someone down to look at the situation.  A permit needs to be filed before they will even consider anything to do with this project.  Photographs need to be hand delivered to the office in Concord.  Deb has contacted the Local Government Center for guidance as to who is responsible for the permit

Reminder:  Meeting with Scott Bradford at 8:00 am, August 17, 2007 at the recycle center.
With no further business this meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm.  The next scheduled Selectmen’s meeting is Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at 6:00 pm.
